Lyndale Kennels raises Standard, Miniature Poodles and Bichon Frises for Show and
Companion homes. We have puppies for sale to approved homes
and we offer Standard Poodle, Miniature Poodle and Bichon Frise
stud service to approved females.
With a record of over 150 AKC champions, our emphasis has always been on sound temperaments, healthy dogs, and a happy
lifestyle. All genetic testing available is routinely done on all dogs
and puppies and updated as necessary. All dogs and puppies are guaranteed free of genetic disorders,
and will be replaced if any such condition
arises.
We do genetic testing for Hip Dysplasia (HD), Sebaceous Adenitis
(SA), Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA), von Willebrand's disease (vWD),
and Patellar Luxation (PL). We are also participating fully with Davis University in their search for DNA on Addison's disease
and epilepsy through Dr. Anita Oberbauer for PCA Research. Breeders interested in participating may contact Dr.
Oberbauer at Davis.
Some kennels will give a limited health guarantee for
their dogs. Health problems can show up in the mature dog rather
than in the first part of their life. Lyndale Kennels offers a lifetime guarantee on their dogs. We will replace any dog that
develops genetic problems, during their lifetime, if the owner of the purchased dog has followed the
health recommendations of Lyndale Kennels. All of our stock has been genetically tested. We are
committed to breeding a healthier dog, for his whole lifetime.
Lyndale Kennels was founded in 1953 in Grand Rapids,
MI by Carolyn Farnsworth and has been at home in
South Carolina for over 20 years. Carolyn, who has shown and bred dogs since her teenage years, still enjoys
seeing her dogs in the show ring and in retirement running the fields and playing in the garden.
Lyndale Kennels is located in Landrum, S.C. on five rolling acres
in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. The kennel is nestled in the Hunting Country, right off the border
of North and South Carolina (exit #1 off I-26). It is half-way between Asheville N.C. and Spartanburg, S.C.
